SOUTH BEND - Yukiko C. Kletka, 73, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2009, at 9:15 p.m. in Memorial Hospital. Yukiko was born on November 29, 1936, in Aomori, Japan. On March 1, 1958, she married Richard Kletka, who preceded her in death on June 11, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children, Susan Miller of South Bend and Michael Kletka of South Bend, IN; four grandchildren, Amanda, Sarah, Matthew and Kristen; three great-grandchildren; her eight brothers and sisters; and by her three sisters-in-law, Joyce (Wayne) Freed of South Bend, Kathy (Richard) Condon of Valparaiso, IN, and Karen (Roger) Williams of Canton, OH. Yuki was a nurse's aide for the Queen of Peace Convent at St. Mary's for the last 14 years. She was a parishioner of Christ the King Catholic Church. Yuki also enjoyed cooking. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 23, 2009, in Christ the King Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 a.m. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, is assisting the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice and Palliative Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
