Victor H. Klein, 84, of Kern Road,
Mishawaka, passed away at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, January 7, in St.
Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, surrounded by his
family. Victor was born on September 25, 1919, in Penn Township,
IN., as the son of the late Julius V. and Ida J. (Schalliol)
Klein.
On September 2, 1945, in Zion United Church
of Christ in Wakarusa, he married the former Alice DeMeyer.
Victor is survived by his wife, Alice; a daughter, Jennie (Leon) Andres
of Mishawaka; four sons, Allen, Ed (Cheri) and Victor (Linda)
Jr., all of Mishawaka, and Robert of Osceola; nine grandchildren;
one great-grandchild; and a sister, Ruth Hensler of
Bremen, IN. Victor graduated from Madison High School. He was
very active in 4-H County Nature Center for several years, and
Alice's Wonderland Flowers. He enjoyed spending time in his
garden and loved to go mushroom hunting. Victor was a United
States Army Veteran; he served his country during WWII. He was a
member of Zion United Church of Christ in Wakarusa. Victor was a
very loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He
could always bring a smile to your face when you were down and
even when you weren't. Victor will be truly missed by all who
knew and loved him but he will never be forgotten.
Friends and family may call from 2 to 8 p.m.
today in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral
services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 10, in Zion
United Church of Christ, Wakarusa, with Rev. Dr. Ronald Liechty
officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven, Wakarusa.
