Mrs. Alice N. Klein

Mrs. Alice Northrup Klein, 89, of Fountainview Place, Elkhart, formerly of South Bend, died at 6:30am Sunday in her residence after an extended illness.  She was director of Mosher-Jordan Hall, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, 14 years.

Mrs. Klein was born on May 21, 1882, in Mishawaka and had lived here most of her life.  In 1912, in Mishawaka, as Alice Bostwick, she was married to Frederick Klein, who died in 1922.  He was a former judge of Superior Court 2 of South Bend and served as Republican chairman of St Joseph County in 1920.  Surviving are a son, Frederick C. of Chicago; four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren
