Elsie A. Kleeman

Elsie A. Kleeman, 89, of Battell St.,
Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away Thursday morning, November 14th,
in Hospice House of South Bend, after a year long courageous
battle with cancer. She was born December 10,1912 in Dubois,
Indiana as Elsie A. Danhafer. She has been a resident of
Mishawaka for over fifty years. She is the widow of Marvin Brown
and Leo Kleeman. Elsie is survived by three children; Janice
(Bob) Nagy, of South Bend, Shirley (Cy) Hoffman, of
Indianapolis, Indiana, and David (Gaelyn) Kleeman, of
Indianapolis, Indiana: along with three grandchildren; Mara (Lee)
Holston, of New Carlisle, Kim (Jim) Brumbaugh, of
Granger, and Lori (Tim) LaBelle, of Indianapolis, Indiana:
and three great-grandchildren, Bobby and Sara Brumbaugh, and
Benjamin LaBelle.
Mrs. Kleeman retired from Uniroyal in 1974.
She was a member of the Uniroyal Retirement Club AARP, and St.
Andrew's United Church of Christ. Elsie did years of volunteer
work which included, Meals-on-Wheels, St. Joseph Hospital gift
shop, the Advocacy Center, St. Andrew's Church, and the Battell
Center. In 2001, Elsie was recognized and awarded for all of her
volunteer work at the Battell Center.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Sunday, November 17, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N.
Main St., Mishawaka. The funeral service will be held at the St.
Andrew's Church of Christ, 320 E. 4th St., Mishawaka, at 11 a.m.,
Monday, with Rev. Dale Speckman officiating. The family has
requested memorial contributions be made to Hospice of St. Joseph
County, 111 Sunnybrook Ct., South Bend, Indiana 46637, St.
Andrew's Church of Christ, 320 E. 4th St., Mishawaka, Indiana
46544, or to the Battell Center, 904 N. Main St., Mishawaka,
Indiana
