Dennis Steven Klaer, 32 years old, residing on S. Gertrude Street, South Bend, IN passed away at 8:46 A.M. on Sunday, October 10, 1999, at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.

Mr. Klaer was a supervisor for the Hickey Group in South Bend where he has been employed for the past 16 years. Denny was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in South Bend and was a member of the Belleville Complex Softball "A" League on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Denny was born on August 14, 1967, in Asmara, Ethiopia, and has been a lifelong resident of South Bend.

He married on August 29, 1998, in South Bend, to Kristi A. Early. Survivors include his wife; their son, Dawson Steven Klaer; his parents, Timothy and Suzanne (Nemeth) Woodhurst of South Bend; twin sister, Lisa (Jeffrey) Pethick of South Bend; brother, Michael Morgan of Goshen; three great-grandmothers, Emelia Long of South Bend, Letha Woodhurst of Buchanan, MI, and Nina Walters of South Bend; grandmothers, Eloise Szobocsan of New Port Richey, Fla., and Raye Klaer of Mishawaka; and grandparents, Linda and Earl McCune of South Bend.

The funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 14, 1999, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, 309 S. Taylor Street, South Bend, IN. Father Charles Lavely, CSC, will officiate.

Graveside services and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.

Friends may call from 3-8 P.M. on Wednesday, October 13, at the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend.
