Sister Marie Jeanne Kissane CSC, 82, died Friday evening in Saint Mary’s Convent, after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 12, 1901 in Chicago and on July 5, 1932 entered the Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Cross at St. Mary’s. She spent most of her religious life serving as a high school teacher and principal in a number of schools in the midwest, including St. Joseph Academy and St. Joseph High School in South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Our Lady of Loretto Church with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, both on the campus. Friends may call anytime before services in the convent parlor, where a wake service will be at 7 p.m. today
