DEATH CLAIMS W.D.KISER, 75

Retired Ball-Band Worker Ill for 2 Years

 

William D. Kiser, 75, of 317 S. Union St., who moved here 55 years ago from Bippus IN, died at 6:30pm Monday in Memorial Hospital, South Bend.  He had been in failing health for two years.

 

Kiser retired from the Ball-Band Plant in 1952 following 38 years of employment there.  He married Goldie Barkman in South Bend February 4, 1914.

 

Besides the widow he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Vaughn Black, of South Bend; three sisters,, Mrs. Louise Weathers, of Bippus; Miss Esther Kiser and Mrs. Elizabeth Hewitt, both of Mishawaka; five brothers, Col. Sherman Kiser, of Fort Myers FL, Paul Kiser of Detroit, Fremont Kiser of Crystal Falls MI, Sheridan Kiser of South Bend and Howard Kiser of Edwardsburg

 

The body has been taken to Bubb Chapel.  Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Funeral Notes

Funeral rites for William D. Kiser, 75, of 317 S. Union St., who died Monday, will take place at 9am Friday in St Joseph’s Church.  Very Rev. Msgr. Curt A Suelzer, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.  The rosary will be recited at 7:30pm Thursday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel where friends may call after 7pm today.  

 

The pallbearers will be Fremont, Sheridan, Paul & Howard Kiser, Fred Randt and Carl Pfaller.
