Mary E. Kintz
June 18, 1909 - July 3, 2000
Mary E. Kintz, 91, currently of the Healthwin Specialized Care Facility, South Bend, Ind., died following an illness at 3:15 p.m. on Mon-day, July 3, in Saint Joseph's Regional Me-dical Center.
Mrs. Kintz was born on June 18, 1909, in Bronson, Mich., to John and Esther (Lily) Kehoe, and had lived in South Bend since 1925. On Jan. 29, 1939, in South Bend, she married Elmer L. Kintz, who preceded her in death in May 1984.
She is survived by two sons, John P. Kintz of Granger, Ind., and Kenneth E. Kintz of Baxter, Tenn.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Arlene C. Kletka of South Bend.
Mrs. Kintz had been a very active member of Christ the King Catholic Church since 1946, a member of Harvest House, and of the Forever Learning Institute.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 6, in Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 State Road 933, South Bend, with Rev. Thomas J. Jones, C.S.C., officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger.
Friends may call from 5 to 6:30 p.m. today, July 5, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road, where a parish Rosary will be said at 6 p.m.
