Carl Edward Kintz, 53, of 52393 Kenilworth Road, construction superintendent
for Peter Schumacher and sons, Inc., 321 South Main Street, Mishawaka, died
unexpectedly at 4:55 AM today in Memorial hospital. Mr. Kintz had been an
employee of Schumacher's for 21 years. A member of Christ the King
Catholic
church, he was a member of its choir and the Holy Name Society. He also
had
served on the building committee for the church and the school. A
lifetime
resident of South Bend, he was born here are in June 4, 1910, and married
Irene Zeithammer on July 24, 1937, who survives. Also surviving are his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. John C. Kintz, South Bend; a son, Eugene, with the U.S
Navy, stationed at Little Creek, Virginia; four daughters, Mrs. David
Kessler of South Bend, Mrs. Jerome Vandewalle of Costa Mesa, California and
the Misses Mary Jo and Patty, both at home; two grandsons; two brothers,
Gerald P. and Elmer L. and two sisters, Mrs. Bernice Norton and Mrs. Mae
Conde, all of South Bend. Friends may call after 7 PM today at the
Welsheimer Memorial Chapel, 52,803 U.S. 31, where the rosary will be recited
at 7:30 PM Thursday by the St. Joseph's high school graduating class of 1963
Services will be at 11 AM Friday in Christ the King church with Rev.
Clement H. Fuake, C. S. C., pastor, officiating. Interment will be in St.
Joseph's Valley Memorial Park.

Pallbearers at services today for Carl Edward Kintz, 52393 Kenilworth Road,
who died Wednesday, were David Kessler, John Kintz, John Patrick Kintz,
Frederick Zeithammer, Joseph T. Mann, and John Norton. The Weisheimer
funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
