Dr. Theodore R. Kinne: (South Bend Tribune 12/24/1963)

Dr. Theodore R. Kinne, 44, of Rt. 2, Lowell, Ind. formerly of New Carlisle, died of an apparent heart attack Sunday night at his home. He was born on June 19, 1919, in Buchanan, Mich. and had lived in Lowell six months, moving there from Champaign, Ill. He was married on May 17, 1947, in Rolling Prairie to Cecelia Layman of New Carlisle, who survives. He was a doctor of veterinary medicine and a World War II veteran. He was a member of the Maple Grove Church in Hudson Twp. and the New Carlisle Post 297, American Legion. Surviving in addition to his wife are two brothers, Robert of Galien, Mich., and Ralph of Kalamazoo, and three sisters, Mrs. Helen Swisegood of Riverton, Wyo., Mrs. Mary Roberts of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Laura Sallisbury of Slater, Colo. Friends may call from 7 p.m. today until 10 a.m. Thursday at the residence of Mrs. Anna Layman, 125 Zigler St., New Carlisle. On Thursday, the body will be taken to the H.C. Amen and Son Funeral Home, New Carlisle, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Rev. Clyde Rusk, pastor of the Maple Grove Church, will officiate. burial will be in New Carlisle Cemetery. Graveside services will be conducted by members of Legion Post 297
