Manuel King Jr

October 4, 1907 – September 28, 1979

Manuel King Jr., 71, of 726 N. Hill, was found dead in his home Friday morning apparently of natural causes.  King was a retired University of Notre Dame employee.

Born on October 4, 1907, in Oxford MS, he had lived here 13 years, after coming from Oxford.  On December 22, 1936, in Oxford, he married Rebecca Frances Dickens, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Doris Mitchell of Oxford, Mrs. Linda Richie and Mrs. Barbara Jennings, both of South Bend; a son, Alford P. of South Bend; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Grace Blake and Mrs. Clyde Woods, both of Memphis TN, and a brother, Rush of Chicago.  Clark’s Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
