Carol R. Kindschi, 89, of 609 W. Tanglewood Trace, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind.

Carol was born in Mishawaka on Aug. 3, 1910, to the late Nettie and Howard Clement.

On June 4, 1933, as Carol R. Clement, she married L.M. Kindschi in Mishawaka. L.M. died on Feb. 18, 1966. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harold A. Clement in 1971.

Carol is survived by a daughter, Barbara Kindschi of South Bend; a son, Terry of Boulder, Colo.; a sister, Helen Bock of El Paso, Texas; a brother, John Clement of Cassopolis; and by three grandchildren, Lara Christoun of Cedarburg, Wis., Jennifer Kindschi of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Daniel Kindschi of Boulder.

Carol was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Mishawaka, and was a teacher with Mishawaka School City, retiring in 1975.

There will be no visitation.

There will be private service for family only at 1 p.m. today, Oct. 20, at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Ronald Miller officiating.

Burial will take place in the Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
