MISHAWAKA - Patricia A. Kinder, 69,
of Mishawaka, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 5, 2006) in St.
Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. She was born March
12, 1937, in South Bend to Elmer D. and Evelyn (Queer) Schott.
She married Claude Kinder on June 24, 1972,
in Mishawaka. He survives, along with two daughters, Julie (Mark)
Sommer of Granger and Carla (David) Parker of
Huntsville, Ala.; four stepdaughters, Evelyn (Sebastian) Milburn,
Gretchen Warren and Jackie Kinder, all of Houston, and
Gwen (T.J.) Stahly of Edwardsburg, Mich.; one stepson,
Eric Kinder of Greeley, Colo.; seven grandchildren; six
stepgrandchildren; one great-granddaughter; three
stepgreat-grandchildren; two sisters, Geraldine O'Bryant
of Mishawaka and Phyllis Matchette of League City, Texas;
a half-brother, Dale Harter of South Bend; and a
half-sister, Jane of Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by a
brother, Burrey Harter, who died in 1985.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8
p.m. today at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway,
Osceola. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the
funeral home, with the Rev. Larry Sonnenberg of Victory Chapel
Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill
Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Mrs. Kinder was a homemaker and also
employed by Dunkin' Donuts, Saint Mary's College, Burcliff
Industries, McDonald's and was a pastor's wife for several
churches in Indiana and Michigan. She was a member of Victory
Chapel Baptist Church. She was known as a caring person who
especially enjoyed babies. She also enjoyed camping at Green
Valley Campground, Sturgis, Mich. Memorials may be given to
