SOUTH BEND - Marilyn Kinder, 69, residing in South Bend, passed
away at 11:35 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2010, in the Ironwood
Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 27,
1940, in South Bend, a daughter of Frank and Helen (Fry) Hagye,
and had remained a lifelong resident. On September 4, 1961, in
South Bend, as Marilyn Hagye, she was united in marriage to Ray
G. Kinder, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters,
Theresa Kinder of South Bend and Sherri (Brian) Tavaras of
Mishawaka; and two granddaughters, Holly and Emily Tavaras of
Mishawaka. Two sisters, Ilene (Tom) Sherk of Bremen and Rosemary
Jamroz of Portage, MI, and two brothers, Francis Hagye of
Greenville, SC, and Richard (Julie) Hagye of Muskegan, MI,
survive Marilyn as well. Mrs. Kinder retired from the office at
Indiana Bell following 40 years of employment. She was a member
of Telephone Pioneers. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday,
March 10th, in the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718
South Michigan Street, South Bend. Rev. Terry Fisher will
officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Sumption
Prairie Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 -
8:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Contributions in memory of
