29, 1925 - March 26, 2010SOUTH BEND - Eunice "Judy" Marie Kimmel, 84, passed away at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2010, in the Golden Living Center, Mishawaka. Mrs. Kimmel was born on June 29, 1925, in Constantine, MI, and had lived most of her life in the South Bend and Mishawaka areas. On October 12, 1946, in Mishawaka, she married Cecil Raymond Kimmel, who preceded her in death on September 19, 1991. One son, Steven Ray Kimmel, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Kimmel was a longtime member of Apostolic Temple, South Bend. She contributed many hours with the Apostolic Temple Day Care and kitchen. She also was very talented decorating cakes for weddings and events. Mrs. Kimmel was a wonderful homemaker. Mrs. Kimmel is survived by one daughter, Judy Rae (Terry) Smith of Mishawaka; one son, John Walter (Jayne) Kimmel of Loomis, CA; two grandchildren, Steven Smith and Dustin (Rachel) Kimmel; one great-grandson, Maxwell Kimmel; and one brother, Gordon Swinehart of Edwardsburg, MI. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 29, 2010, in the Apostolic Temple, 2221 S. Ironwood Road, South Bend. Bishop Peter Rowe and Elder Paul Rowe will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. today, March 28th, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, and one hour prior to services in the church on Monday.
