CHARLES EDWARD KIEFER       

Charles Edward Kiefer, seventy-six years old, a life long resident of Woodland, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Laura Long, at Benton Harbor, Mich. after a lingering illness.  On April 8, 1888, he was united in marriage with Rosa Mohr of Wabash, who preceded him in death on January 13, 1935.       

Surviving relatives are one daughter, Mrs. Long, of Benton Harbor; four sons, Floyd Kiefer of Benton Harbor, LeRoy Kiefer of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Claude Kiefer of Norfolk, Virginia, and Oliver Kiefer of Mishawaka; two sisters, Miss Kate Kiefer of Bremen and Mrs. Emma Stockinger of Wyatt.       

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at two oclock at St. Paul's Lutheran church at Woodland.  Rev. Louis Nuechterlein of St. Joseph, Mich., will officiate in the services  Burial will be in the Bremen cemetery.
