SOUTH BEND - Robert J. Ketchum, 58, of South Bend passed
away Tuesday October 14 in his residence due to an apparent heat
attack. Mr. Ketchum was born on October 12, 1950, in Springfield,
IL, and resided in the South Bend area for the past 10 months,
coming from Kansas City, MO. Mr. Ketchum is survived by four
wonderful loving daughters, Monica R. (David) Hartung of
Seymour, IN, Sarah L. Ketchum of Chicago, IL, Jennifer C. and
Kathleen A. Ketchum, both of Moberly, MO; also surviving are four
grandchildren whom he loved and cherished, Andrew and Christine
Monzingo and Elise and Colin Hartung; and a brother, Thomas J.
(Patty) Ketchum of Quincey, IL. Mr. Ketchum was employed by
Hilton Garden Inn in South Bend as a night auditor. He was an
avid Notre dame Football fan, Notre Dame marching band and loved
golfing. He also loved politics. He was a devoted farther,
grandfather and always placed his love for his family first. He
loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also served the
Lord well and was faithful to his Catholic religion.
Visitation hours were held on Thursday, October 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. in Hanley & Sons "Southwest Chapel" Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday Oct. 20 in St. Pius X Catholic Church, Moberly, MO. Cremation has taken place. The family requests that all memorial contributions be made to Moberly Spartan Booster club, 1625 Gratz-Brown Rd., Moberly, MO 65270. The HANLEY & sons "Southwest Chapel" funeral Home located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend handled local arrangements and extended it deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers to the Ketchum family.
