Donna M. Kern

August 23, 1906 – February 5, 1981

Mrs. Donna M. Kern, 74, of 32045 Early Road, New Carlisle, formerly of South Bend, died today at Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born on August 23, 1906, in Rochester IN, and had lived in South Bend most of her life.  On May 5, 1926, in Bryan OH, she married Ferrel (Jack) Kern, who died in 1967.  She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen Layman of Niles, three grandchildren, including a granddaughter, Mrs. Linda Ebersole, with whom she lived; and seven great grandchildren; a half-sister, Mrs. Marilyn Carney of Bradenton FL; and a half-brother, Castle of Mishawaka.

Services will be at 1pm Saturday in the Hollis-Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave.  Rev. Max B. Hayden, pastor of St Peter’s Untied Church of Christ, will officiate.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.  Friend may call form 2pm to 4pm and form 7pm to 9pm on Friday in the funeral home.
