Charles Kerestury
Charles Kerestury, 63, of 1501 ½
Linden St., died at 6:15 p.m. in Healthwin Hospital after a 12
year illness. He was formerly a butcher. He was born Oct. 5, 1903
in South Bend and lived here all his life. He was married Nov.
27, 1946 in South Bend to Catherine Fazekas, who survives,
along with four brothers, Andrew, William, John and Joseph, all
of South Bend; and three sisters, Mrs. Helen Modory and
Mrs. Margaret Boyd, both of South Bend, and Mrs. Elizabeth
Vogel of Melvindale, Mich.
He was a member of the Memorial Presbyterian
Church, St. Joseph Lodge 45, F.&A.M., a charter member of the
Hoosier Leathercraft Guild, and a member of the Hungarian
Reformed Federation of America.
Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday in
the Welsheimer Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in
the Memorial Presbyterian Church, Rev. Stephen Kalabany, pastor,
officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. A
prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral
home. Eastern Star memorial services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday,
also in the funeral home, and Masonic memorial services will be
held at 8 p.m. also in the funeral home. Memorial contributions
may be made to the Memorial Presbyterian Church.
