Rosetta Kepplin

SOUTH BEND - Rosetta (Amentrout) Kepplin, 89, of South Bend, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010, in her home. She was born on February 20, 1921, in LaPorte, Indiana, to the late Otis and Minerva Amentrout. Rosetta is survived by her sons, Lynn B. (Pam) of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Kevin E. (Angie) Kepplin of South Bend; five grandchildren, Melanie Fugate, Heather, Krystal, Kevin (Gene) and Gabe Kepplin; a step-grandson, Robbie Baker; and by four great-grandchildren, Real, Faith, Destiny and Tristan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Kepplin, in October 1970. Rosetta worked as a housekeeper for Memorial Hospital, The County City Building in South Bend, and Associates before retiring. She spent most of her life working and raising two teenage boys after the death of her husband. She was able to spend the years of her life at home, where her youngest son and his wife and family made it possible for her to do so, by moving in to take care of her. Funeral services for Rosetta will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, February 25, 2010, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. Friends may visit for two hours prior to the services. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 9135 N. Meridian St., Ste. B-4, Indianapolis, IN 46209-7109.
