John T. Kenney

Mr. John T. Kenney, 64, of Dunlap Drive in Deltona, Fla., formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away on Tues-day, April 25, in his residence. John was born on March 12, 1936, in Gary, Ind., to John Patrick and Daisy Grace (Winegar) Kenney, who both have preceded him in death.

On Sept. 20, 1954, in South Bend, John married Imogene Bratton, who preceded him in death on Dec. 20, 1992. John was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas John Kenney. John served in the U.S. Navy and received the National Defense Service Medal and a Good Conduct Medal while serving in the Korean Conflict. John really enjoyed his family and working with computers. Friends will remember the father and son business, Jack Kenney's Big and Tall Clothing Store in Mishawaka, Ind., where the family was always present and well known.

John leaves to cherish his memories his four sons, Jack Kenney of Elkhart, Ind., Rick Kenney of Germany, Mike Kenney of South Bend and Darrell Kenney of Deltona; a brother, Richard Shephard of Homestead, Fla.; a sister, Helen Hodges of Gary; and by 17 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Ind. Burial services will be private.
