SOUTH BEND - Kyle Stephen Kennel, 24, of South Bend, died Monday, September 8, in Kankakee, Illinois, to which he had recently moved. Kyle had been employed as a landscape worker in the South Bend area for several years. He was born November 9, 1983. in Urbana, IL. He is survived by his parents, Brian C. and Anna (Rouse) Kennel of South Bend; three siblings, Kayla Johnson of Aurora, CO, Kaylan Kennel of Columbia, S.C., and Janelle Kennel of Goshen, IN.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, in the HICKEY Funeral Home, 17131 Cleveland Road (between Ironwood & Grape roads), with Rev. Neil Ryan, CSC, pastor of Little Flower parish officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Kyle was a 2002 Clay High School graduate who excelled in soccer and baseball.
