OSCEOLA - Evelyn Kelver, 65, of 56656
Lake St., died at 12:43 p.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Hospital,
Mishawaka, after an illness. Mrs. Kelver was born Jan. 1, 1929,
in Flint, Mich., and lived in Osceola since 1948, coming from
Grand Blanc, Mich.
On July 25, 1948, in Grand Blanc, as Evelyn Rhoades,
she married Cecil ``Bus'' Kelver. He survives, with two
daughters, Kathy Floerkey of Summerville, Ala., and Wendy Sheets
of Osceola; a son, Alan of Greensboro, Ga.; five grandchildren;
four sisters, Pauline Hiler of Mishawaka, Dorothy Embury
of Caboal, Mo., Phyllis Selesky of Scottsville, Ariz., and
Bernice Rayburn of Grand Blanc; and two brothers, Ralph
Rhoades of Flint and Dallas Rhoades of Okemos, Mich. A daughter,
Tina Lynn, died in 1953. She was a member of Osceola United
Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Osceola Historical
Society and past district officer of the United Methodist Women.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the
church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends
may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in Warner Funeral
Home and one hour before services on Saturday in the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Osceola Historical
Society or the church.
