SOUTH BEND - Jason Duane Kelly, 31, of South Bend, died
Friday, June 29, 2007. Jason was born January 27, 1976, in
Mishawaka, IN, as the son of Joel & Sue (England)
Kelly, and has lived in Lakeville and South Bend all of his life.
He was a graduate of LaVille High School, and joined the United
States Army, serving his country from 2002 to 2004 as a Military
Police Officer. Jason loved to go hunting, and play music. He was
very gifted as a songwriter, and played in the band "65
South" with his brother Brian, playing the guitar and
mandolin. He was employed as a mechanic with Bettcher's Repair in
Lakeville.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother
Sue, in August 1999, and his father Joel in December 1999.
Surviving Jason are his two sisters and brothers-in-law, Theresa
and Eric Kosmider of Livonia, MI, and Tammy and Gregg Fletcher
of New Carlisle, IN; his brother, Brian Kelly of Ossian, IN; and
his fiancée, Ashley Laird of South Bend. Also surviving
are two nieces, Courtney Cassler of Mishawaka and Nicole Carlson
of Dayton, OH; and four nephews, Cody Cassler of Lincoln, NE,
Camryn Fletcher of New Carlisle, IN, Justin Carlson of Livonia,
MI, and Carter Kelly of Ossian, IN.
Services for Jason Kelly will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday, July 3, 2007, in Palmer Funeral Home, 314 South Michigan
Street, Lakeville, IN. Rev. Vito Rulli, pastor of Lakeside
Baptist Church, Lakeville, will officiate. Graveside services
will follow at Porter Rae Cemetery at Potato Creek State Park,
North Liberty, IN. The family will receive friends from 3 to 8
p.m. Monday, July 2, in Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville.
Contributions in memory of Jason may be offered to the Palmer
Funeral Home, 314 South Michigan Street, Lakeville, IN, to assist
the family with final expenses.
