C. Edward Kelley

1870 -Nov. 22,  1950

Charles Edward Kelley, aged 80, of 1705 Robinson Street, died at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday in his home after an illness of two weeks. Born in Freemont, Mich. Oct. 11, 1870, he had lived in South Bend 38 years, coming here from Elkhart, Ind. His wife, Phoebe, died in 1933. Surviving are the following children, William, Los Angeles, Calif.; Harold, Indianapolis, Ind.; Elmer, Tucson, Ariz.; Clifford, Mishawaka, Ind.; Mrs. Romaine Klumm, Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Beulah VanDeWalle, and Mrs. Gladys Gerard, both of South Bend; the following brothers and sisters, Frank, Elkhart; William and Mrs. Jack Winegar, Kalamazoo, Mish; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today in the Hollis Chapel where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Rev. Merl Kennedy, pastor, of Ridgedale Presbyerian Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
