Margaret A. Kelley, 83, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away at 6:42 p.m. Monday, December 11, 2000, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN. Mrs. Kelley was born on December 14, 1916, in Galien, MI. She was formerly employed at Marrs Grocery and New Prairie High School.

On July 28, 1934, as Margaret A. Walker, she married Roland K. Kelley, who preceded her in death on November 6, 1997. She is survived by a daughter, Mary (Ian) MacGillivray of Ames, Iowa; three sons, Robert (Bonnie) Kelley of Three Rivers, MI, Richard (Evelyn) Kelley of New Carlisle, Jim Kelley of New Carlisle; seven grandchildren, Teri Voyles, Susan Spenser, Jackie Beckette, Michael Kelley, Lori VanWanzelle, Kelley Loenser, Colin MacGillivray; and by six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Debbie Kelley; a great-granddaughter, Kimberly Voyles; a sister, Mary Jane Walker; and by two brothers, George and Charles Walker.

Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, December 15, 2000, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 201 S. Filbert Street, New Carlisle, IN. Burial will follow in New Carlisle Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m., today in the funeral home. Mrs. Kelley was a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church, Boot Jack Club, Forever Friends, New Prairie Cooks, and the Farm Bureau of LaPorte County. Memorial contributions may be made to the Maple Grove United Methodist Church.
