Elenora M. Denslow-Keil

May 6, 1909 - June 14, 2001

Elenora M. Denslow-Keil, 92, of St. Paul's Retirement Community, South Bend, Ind., formerly of Grass Road, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away after an illness at 4:10 a.m. Thursday, June 14, in St. Paul's Care Center, South Bend.

Mrs. Keil was born May 6, 1909, in St. Joseph County, as the daughter of the late Raymond and Grace (Lowrey) Denslow. She was also preceded in death by one brother, John Denslow. Mrs. Keil was a lifetime area resident.

On Aug. 17, 1938, in Mishawaka, as the former Elenora M. Denslow, she married Donald Keil, who preceded her in death Feb. 13, 1982.

Mrs. Keil is survived by one sister, Mildred Lane, also of St. Paul's Retirement Community, South Bend; two nieces, Janet (Jack) Zimmerman of Cannon County, Calif., and Sharon Denslow of Moran, Kan.; three stepnephews, Barry E. Mead of Niles, Mich., Wesley G. Mead and Douglas F. Mead, both of South Bend; one cousin, Ernestine Banes of South Bend; and one sister-in-law, Mary Denslow of South Bend.

Mrs. Keil retired from the former Uniroyal where she was a stenographer for 43 years. She was a member of Coalbush United Methodist Church, Mishawaka.

Friends may call one hour before the services, which will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West 8th Street, Mishawaka, with Rev. James Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Woodland, Ind.
