South Bend, IN Pauline Pierce (Bliler) Keefer, 81 years old, residing on E. Victoria Street in South Bend, passed away at 11:03 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at the Memorial Hospital, South Bend from natural causes. Mrs. Keefer was born on March 9, 1920, in South Bend to the late Robert and Marie (White) Bliler. She has been a lifelong resident of South Bend.
On November 30, 1940 in South Bend, she married Kenneth R. Keefer who survives. Along with her husband, Kenneth, of 60 years, survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Gaylord Huber of Avon, IN; one grandson, Christopher Tate of Seattle, WA; two step-grandchildren, Carisa Willis of Portage, IN., and Robert Huber of Avon, IN; and one brother, William F. Bliler of South Bend. Mrs. Keefer was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert Tate; two sisters, Mary Palmer on February 10, 1998 and Cecelia Goddard on February 12, 1998; and one brother, Robert Bliler in 1965. Mrs. Keefer was a homemaker and a 50 year member of the Grace United Methodist church, South Bend. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 569 in South Bend.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2001 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend. Rev. Ross cook will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, South bend. Friends may visit with the family from 5 to 8 p.m., today, July 6, at the Palmer Funeral Home, South Bend.
