January 8, 1899 – March 23, 1972

Walter Kashmer, 73, of 11885 Mystery Lane, died about 6am today in Osteopathic Hospital, South Bend, after a two month illness. He had been employed by the South Bend YWCA until the time of his illness.

He was born January 8, 1899, in South Bend.

Surviving are his wife, Eunice; a son, Norman, and a daughter, Monica, both at home; two brothers, George Kazmierzak, South Bend, and Edward Kashmer, Osceola, and two sisters, Mrs. Stanley Marcinkowski and Mrs. Joseph Edwards, both of South Bend.

Friends may call in the Hickey Funeral Home, 3516 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, from 7 to 9pm Thursday and from 2 to 9pm Friday.

Services will be conducted at 10am Saturday in the Queen of Peace Catholic Church, with Rev. Michael Vichuras, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in St Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
