Frank J. Kashmer

February 17, 1893 - August 17, 1970

Frank J. Kashmer, 77, of 1228 Western Ave., died at 6:30pm Monday at Memorial Hospital after an illness of six weeks.

Born February 17, 1893, in South Bend, he had lived here all his life.  On February 21, 1922 in South Bend, he married Jennie J. Switalski, who survives.  Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Bolin of Mishawaka and Mrs Dorothy Bolin of South Bend; five grandchildren; three brothers, George Kazmierzak of South Bend, Walter Kashmer of Mishawaka and Edward Kashmer of Osceola; and two sisters, Mrs. Helen Edwards and Mrs. Marie Martinkowski, both of South Bend.

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and 10am to 9pm Wednesday at the St Joseph Funeral Home.  Services will be conducted at 10am Thursday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church by Rev. Joseph Horvath, pastor.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Mr. Kashmer was a veteran of WW I and a member of Disabled American Veterans Chapter 6.  A parish rosary will be recited at 7:30pm today in the funeral home.
