Edward J. Kashmer Sr.

April 23, 1906 - May 9, 1978

Edward J. Kashmer, Sr., 72, of 10358 Jefferson, Osceola, was dead on arrival Tuesday at Memorial Hospital in South Bend after a sudden illness.

Kashmer was born on April 23, 1906, in South Bend and had lived in the Osceola area all his life.  On December 27, 1930, in LaPorte, he married Athalyn Roberts, who survives with a son, E. John Kashmer Jr. of Plymouth and a brother, George Kazmierzak of South Bend.

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Thursday in the Warner Funeral Home, Osceola.

Kashmer was retired from the Avis Rent-a-Car Corp in South Bend after working there 30 years.

Funeral Note

Services for Edward J. Kashmer Sr., 72, of 10358 Jefferson Road, Osceola, who died Tuesday after a sudden illness, will be at 10 am Friday in the Warner Funeral Home, Osceola.  Rev. James L. Elliott, pastor of St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Elkhart, will officiate.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call in the funeral home from 7 to 9pm today.
