NORTH LIBERTY - Hazel Verna Kaser, 87, of 25601 Layton Road, died at 6:50 p.m. Friday in the home of her daughter in Dunedin, Fla., of natural causes. Mrs. Kaser was born June 11, 1908, in South Bend.
On July 10, 1926, in Lakeville, as Hazel Verna Rudduck, she married Ralph O. Kaser. He died June 11, 1989. Surviving are two daughters, Marie Olson of North Liberty and Verna Case of Dunedin; a son, Ralph D. ''Dewey'' of North Liberty; six grandchildren; and a sister, Mae Sieracki of South Bend. A son, Dennis, died in 1985. She was a member of Monson Chapel United Methodist Church, South Bend, past worthy matron of Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 290, Buttons and Bows of Eastern Star, and the former Sumption Prairie Women's Club.
Services will be 1 a.m. Wednesday in Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville. Burial will be in Sumption Prairie Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
