Betty Kapson

May 14, 1924 – December 28, 1991

Betty Kapson, 67, of 1501 E. Colfax Avenue, died at 11:45am Saturday at Mount Sinai Hospital, North Miami Beach FL.

Born May 14, 1924, in South Bend, she was a lifetime are resident.  On February 18, 1945, in South Bend, as Betty Medow, she married Jordon H. Kapson.  He survives with two daughters, Nancy Feingold of Dallas TX and Caren Kapson of Boca Raton FL; a son, Craig of South Bend; three grandchildren; and three brothers, Harold Medow of Miami Beach and Donald Medow and Lawrence Medow, both of South Bend.  She was a member of Temple Beth El, St Joseph Medical Center Women’s Auxiliary, past president of 5701 Social Club, Miami Beach, and a board member of Project Newborn, Miami Beach.

Services will be at 1pm Tuesday at Temple Beth El.  Burial will be at Hebrew Orthodox Cemetery.  There will be no visitation.  Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S Michigan St., is in charge of arrangements.  Memorial contributions may be made to Bette Kapson Memorial Fund for Brain Cancer Research, 3725 N. Talman Ave., Chicago IL 60618, or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
