William M. Kamm, 78, of Emerald Bay, Mishawaka, Ind., formerly of Chimes Boulevard, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 11:58 a.m. Friday, Aug. 6, in his residence surrounded by his family. William was born on Oct. 24, 1925, in Mishawaka, as the son of the late Rudolph A. and Josephine C. (Schafer) Kamm. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Valerie Parshall. On March 3, 1951, in Mishawaka, he married the former Ida E. "Babe" Barrett, who survives along with two daughters, Christine A. (Raymond) Garvin of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Lauren S. (Fred) Davis of Niles, Mich.; two sons, Mark W. Kamm and his companion, Debbie Martin of Mishawaka, and Matthew S. (Kitty) Kamm of Kokomo, Ind.; three sisters, Harriet Nye, Natalie Daneilsson and Lois Kamm, all of Mishawaka; grandchildren, Eric and David Kamm, Tiffany and Scott Garvin, Daniel and Brian Davis; great-grandchild, Derek Kamm; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, Owen and Phyllis Barret, Hope Dye and Bud Parshall, all of Mishawaka. Friends my visit today, Aug. 8, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 9, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Robert Yast officiating. Burial of his ashes will be at a later date at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
