Casimer A. Kalka
Sept. 25, 1907 - June 25, 1998
Casimer A. Kalka, 91, of Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center, South Bend, Ind., died at 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 25, in the Center.
Mr. Kalka was born on Sept. 25, 1907, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident. He retired from the Studebaker Corporation.
On Aug. 27, 1927, in South Bend, he married the former Clementine Urbanski, who died in 1985.
He is survived by a daughter, Rita Horvath of South Bend; two sons, Jim Kalka, Sr. of South Bend and Robert C. Kalka of Butler, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and by a sister, Hattie Lukasiewicz of South Bend.
Mr. Kalka was a member of St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, a life member of the Eagles Aerie #435 and the Polish American Civic and Social Club.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church.
