Helen V. Kalamajski, 90, a Mishawaka,
Ind., resident, passed away at 2:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, in the
Saint Joseph Re-gional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind., where
she was admitted on Saturday.
She was born March 7, 1912, in Holton, Ind.,
as the daughter of the late John and Alice (Donovan) Stewart,
and had lived in the South Bend-Mishawaka area most of her life.
In 1943, in South Bend, she married Stanley
L. Kalamajski, who also preceded her in death on April 9, 1971.
Helen is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and
Patrick Metcalfe of Mishawaka; her son, Ronald Stewart Kalman
of Mishawaka; her two grandsons, Steven Patrick (Jill) Metcalfe
of Mishawaka and Jason Patrick (Annie) Metcalfe of South Bend;
and by a great-grandson, Trevor William Metcalfe. Mrs. Kalamajski
retired in 1987 as a receptionist at St. Mary's College following
18 years of service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic
Church in Mishawaka.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 18, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka.
Rev. Robert A. Yast, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow
at Highland Cemetery, South Bend. The family will receive friends
from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park
Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, where a parish Rosary
will be said at 4:30 p.m. today in the funeral home.
