NEW CARLISLE - Joseph W. Kafka, 20, of New Carlisle, Ind., passed away Tuesday, at 3:26 p.m. in the LaPorte Hospital, LaPorte, Ind. Joseph Kafka was born May 7, 1976 in South Bend, Ind., and had resided in this area all of his life. He is survived by his parents, Mona and Joseph Kafka of New Carlisle; his sister, Angela Kafka of New Carlisle; maternal grandparents, Mary and Thomas Reeves of New Carlisle; and his paternal grandmother, Carrie Kafka of New Carlisle.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, at the St. Joseph Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Saturday, in the church. A wake service will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, in the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, at the St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Terre Coupee, Ind. Burial will be in the New Carlisle Cemetery, New Carlisle. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church.
