SOUTH BEND - Loretta M. Kadulski, 88, formerly of Wilber
Street, died at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2008, in Regency
Place of South Bend. She was born to the late Walter
"Lottie" and Stella (Duczynski) Wegner in
South Bend, IN, and was a lifelong resident. Along with her
parents, one sister, Gertrude Ziolkowski; and one brother,
Irwin "Sam" Wegner also preceded her in death. Mrs.
Kadulski retired in 1990, from the South Bend Tribune, after
several years of employment.
On September 29, 1944, as Loretta M. Wegner,
she married Stanley C. Kadulski in South Bend, IN. He died on
November 22, 1991. She is survived by three daughters, Anita
(John) Hoekstra of Belmont, MI, Marilyn Uceny of
South Bend, Doris (Doug) Baker of South Bend; one son,
Chris Kadulski of Decatur, MI; four grandchildren, Lauren, B.J.,
Lyndi, and Nick; one great-grandson, Brad; two sisters, Aurie Wilmering
of South Bend; Theresa (Tim) Howard of Mishawaka, IN; and
one sister-in-law, Margaret Wegner of South Bend. Mrs. Kadulski
was a member of Holy Cross Parish since 1945, where she was a
former member of the Harvest House and Rosary Altar Society. She
loved volunteering at church; it was her mission. Loretta was a
graduate of Washington High School in South Bend, IN. The family
would like to extend their gratitude to Arbor Wood Assisted
Living and Regency Place of South Bend for the wonderful and
loving care that they provided for Loretta.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday,
April 4, 2008, at Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive,
South Bend, IN, where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday,
April 5, 2008, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Entombment will
follow in Highland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made
