Casimir "Casey" Kaczorowski,
91, of South Walnut Street, South Bend, Ind., died after a long
illness at 1 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, in the Milton Home. He was
born Feb. 20, 1910, in South Bend, and was the son of Matthew and
Maryann (Piotrowski) Kaczorowski. Mr. Kaczorowski retired
from the Wheelabrator Corporation in 1979. Mr. Kaczorowski is
survived by nephews, Dr. Greg Kaczorowski of Edison, N.J., and
Jerome Kazmierczak of South Bend; and by nieces, Monice
Kaczorowski of Itasca, Ill., and Christine Kazmierczak of South
Bend. Mr. Kaczorowski was preceded in death by his brothers and
sisters, Hilda Kazmierczak, Howard Young, John,
Leo, Joseph and Monica Kaczorowski.
Mr. Kaczorowski was an Army veteran of World
War II. He was the recipient of the Good Conduct Medal, two
Bronze Stars and the Purple Heart for his service in World War II
and his internment as a prisoner of war. He is a member of
American Legion Pulaski Post #357 and a member of the Mruks C
lub.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m.
Friday in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road.
Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Casimir Catholic
Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
