Alex Kaczmarek

MISHAWAKA - Alex Kaczmarek, 88, of Jamestown Court South, died Sunday morning in his home of natural causes. Mr. Kaczmarek retired as an engineer at Memorial Hospital after 30 years. He was born July 9, 1906, in Germany. On Nov. 29, 1934, in South Bend, he married Severene Slomski. She died Dec. 6, 1987. Surviving are a foster daughter, Suzette Jozwiak, and a sister, Stella Muszynski, both of South Bend. He was a member of Moose Lodge 58, South Bend, and St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3402 Lincoln Way W., South Bend, where a parish rosary will be said at 4 p.m
