Services for Eugene R. Jurgonski, 59, of Indianapolis, formerly of South Bend, who died Saturday afternoon at Community Hospital, Indianapolis, following an automobile accident in Indianapolis, will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Feeney-Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, Indianapolis. A funeral mass will follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Simon Catholic Church, Indianapolis, of which he was a member. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery, Indianapolis. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Jurgonski was a draftsman for the Indiana Highway Department’s Bureau of Standards for 30 years. He was born Sept 26, 1929, in South Bend. On June 24, 1967, in Terre Haute, he married Sylvia D. Thompson, who survives. Also surviving are a sister, Evelyn Gerschoffer of South Bend; and a brother, Leonard D. of South Bend. He was a member of Knights of Columbus No. 437 Matre De Council, Central Indiana Grotto of National Speleological Society, both of Indianapolis. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War.
