Warren O. Judkins

Mishawaka - Warren O. Judkins, 85, who had been ill for
many months, died at 12:45 p.m. Monday in the Alexandrian Nursing
Home, South Bend. He was born in Mishawaka.
Mr. Judkins was a world traveler and purchased woolen goods and
other materials for many manufacturing firms in this country
including the Ball-Band plant. He was a member of pioneer
families in Mishawaka who came here in 1836.
Mr. Judkins was a veteran of World War I serving as a first
lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps. He was a member of
Mishawaka Post 161, American Legion. Surviving are a sister, Miss
Alice Judkins, of Berrien Springs, Mich., and two nieces, Mrs.
George W. Blair and Mrs. Samuel D. Hillier, both of
this city.
Friends may call in the Bubb Chapel after 7 p.m. today and until
the funeral services there at 2 p.m. Wednesday. John S. Johnson,
reader, First Church of Christ, Scientist, will officiate.
Burial will be in City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Frank Allen, of South
Bend, Herbert Bucklen III, of Elkhart, and E. C. Ellsasser Sr.,
and Henry Granger, both of Mishawaka.
