Blondine Jozwiak

Blondine Jozwiak, 85, formerly of Lombardy Drive, South Bend, passed away at 7pm on Saturday evening, September 18, at St Paul’s Retirement Center.

She was born on May 10, 1914, in South Bend, and had lived in this area all of her life.  She was the daughter of Stanley and Mary (Burzynski) Grzadziela.

On August 29, 1938, as Blondine Grzadziela, she married John J. Jozwiak, who preceded her in death on May 29, 1988.  She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Switalski and Esther Goralski; and by a brother, Al Grzadziela.

She is survived by two sisters, Stella Langner and Dorothy Golumb, both of South Bend, as well as by several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, AARP, ZB Falcons Nest 80 and St Adalbert’s Harvest House.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 8pm today in the St Joseph Funeral Home, 824 A Mayflower Road, where a parish Rosary will be said at 5pm

A Mass will be held at 10am on Wednesday, September 22, in Holy Family Catholic Church, with entombment to follow in the St Joseph Cemetery.
