Blase A. "Bob" Jozwiak, 91, formerly of North Johnson Street, South Bend, Ind., died at 1:50 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4, in the Cardinal Nursing Home. He was born on Dec. 31, 1911, in South Bend, to Kasimer and Josephine (Modracki) Jozwiak, who have both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Holewinski, and by a sister, Gertrude Kessel-Bartley.
On May 11, 1940, in South Bend, Blase married Theresa Schoen, who survives. He is also survived by a sister; Caroline (Ernest) Bognar of South Bend; and by a brother, Ervin (Mary Ann) Holewinski of Bremen, Ind. Blase was a member of St. Stanislaus B & M Catholic Church, Z.B. Falcons, Harvest House, and was also an avid fisherman. He retired in 1975 from the Torrington Company.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 6, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be said a 5 p.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, in St. Stanislaus B & M Catholic Church, with entombment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
