GRANGER - Anna E. Joy, 84, of Granger, IN, passed away at 6:20
a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2010, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical
Center in Mishawaka. Anna was born on December 17, 1925, in South
Bend, IN, to Oscar and Ethel (Reprogle) Kleitz, who both have
preceded her in death. A son, Thomas Joy, a brother, Marvin
Kleitz, and six sisters, Goldie Benson, Edna Wilson, Mary
Seggerman, Carrie Hatten, Della Roach and Pearl Seggerman also
preceded Anna in death. Anna graduated from Washington Clay High
School and she was employed by Sibley's Foundry before becoming
owner and operator of Joy's Septic service, retiring in 2002
after over 50 years of service. Anna is survived by three sons,
Harold "Hal" (Nancy) Joy, Richard (Debra) Joy and
William (Tina) Joy, all of Granger, IN; 12 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren; one sister, Edith "Edie" Grubbs of
Wakarusa, IN; two brothers, David (Flossie) Kleitz of Grovertown,
IN, and Delbert Dean (Linda) Kleitz of Bensenville, IL. Anna will
always be remembered for her "big heart," of giving to
others and caring for the ones she loved. She enjoyed cooking,
gardening and, most of all, taking care of and spending time with
the grandkids and great-grandkids. There will be no visitation.
Bubb Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements. Memorial
contributions may be made to the American
Cancer Society .
