MISHAWAKA - Ruth J. Jontz, 97, of Gallatin, Tenn., and formerly of Mishawaka, died at noon Monday in Brandy Wood Nursing Home, Gallatin. Mrs. Jontz was born Dec. 12, 1896, in Columbia City, Ind.

On April 18, 1919, in Mishawaka, as Ruth J. Johnson, she married Harry Jontz. He died Aug. 31, 1953. Surviving are two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main St. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to services Friday in the funeral home.
