Sister Mary Cyrillus CSC, a member of the Congregation of the
Sisters of the Holy Cross since 1906, died in the convent at St.
Marys College Friday night. She was born Margaret Jones in
Ireland, and came to this country in her youth. She made her
final profession of vows in 1912, and received nurse trainging at
St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise, Idaho. She also served as a
nursing sister in St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend, and in
Anderson, Ind.; Cairo, Ill.; and in Jacksonville, Ill. She served
in the infirmary of Saint Marys Convent before illness
forced her retirement. Survivors include a cousin Rev. E. J.
Mahan CSSR of Toronto, Canada.
A funeral mass is scheduled for today with burial Sunday
morning.
