Eileen C. Jones, 89, of Dayton Street, South Bend, Ind., passed away on Saturday, March 6, in the Ironwood Health and Rehabilitation Center. Eileen was born on Nov. 17, 1909, in South Bend, to Otto and Winnefred (Schott) Teske.

In March 1929 she married Clarence Mastain, who passed away in December 1943. In March 1947 she married Roger Jones, who also preceded her in death in January 1962. Eileen retired after 38 years as chief telephone operator in Crawfordsville, Ind. She is survived by a stepdaughter, Marilyn Holiday of Moline, Ill.; a sister, Marian Mastain of South Bend; and by a sister-in-law, Mary Jane Teske of South Bend. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and the Telephone Pioneers.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm. today at the Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10, with Reverend Robert Manning officiating at the funeral home. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery.
