William R. Johnson

William R. Johnson, 60, of Blaine Avenue, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 3 a.m. early on Wednesday morning, March 22, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend.

Mr. Johnson was born on July 22, 1939, in Mishawaka, Ind., as the son of the late William A. and Betty M. (Adams) Johnson.

On Dec. 24, 1992, in South Bend, he married the former Peggy Sue Van De Putte, who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Tammy Hans of Osceola, Ind.; a son, William R. Johnson of New Ipswich, N.H.; three grandchildren; a sister, Nora Schrimsher of Michigan City; and by a brother, Carl Johnson of South Bend. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Friends called from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 23, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Eighth Street, Mishawaka. Services will be held at 12:30 p.m today, March 24, in the funeral home, with Rev. Erv Mize officiating. Burial will follow in Ferrisville Cemetery, Mishawaka.
