Robert L. Johnson
March 3, 1899 – September 22, 1982
Robert L.
Johnson, 83, of 2165 Parkview Place, died at 10:15am Wednesday in
St Joseph’s Medical Center, after a lengthy illness. He
was employed with Colip Brothers Electric Co for 37 years and
alter worked as an electrical inspector for the City of South
bend for ten years.
He was born on March
3, 1899, in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident. On
June 29, 1929, in South Bend, he married Tillie Kruk, who
survives.
Services will be
at 11am Saturday in Holy Cross Catholic Church with Rev. James
Trepanier, CSC, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Highland
Cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and from 2 to 9pm Friday
in Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home, where the parish rosary
will be recited at 7:30pm Friday. He was a veteran of WW I
and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electric
Workers.
